Furnishings Mood Board
Every Nursery should be planned with a child’s future years in mind and safety must be a primary objective. The style of this room is clean and modern with some traditional inspiration like in the Cape Cod Rocker and the graceful high back on the crib, which can convert later on to a daybed when baby gets older. I’ve recommended predominately white furniture, with the artwork and accessories bringing color into the space. These items can be changed to give the room a new look as your baby becomes a toddler and young boy. The paint color is easy to change as well. When you are ready, let us know and we can help with those choices.
Because this is a small space, the best place for the crib was just to the left of the door as you walk in. It makes it possible to place the dresser in front of the windows and still have room for the wonderful comfy rocker in the opposite corner. Then the changing table fits perfectly in the nook next to the closet.

Artwork & Accessories
The Green Heirloom Rug from the Land of Nod is decorated with intricately elegant circles. This shape is repeated in the drum lamp and in the fabric on the rocking chair. The Harper Nursery Bedding is classic and tailored, featuring super soft cotton percale with grosgrain ribbon trim, and graphic printed sheets. The Willow Braided Pillow looks great against the polka dots of the Cape Cod Rocking Chair. The Classic Shelves from Pottery Barn Kids are perfect above the changing table for storing diapers and wipes. I’ve selected three adorable Art Prints by Nancy Lee from Art.com, and some wonderful animal toys including a rocking horse from the Land of Nod.
The Harper Black-out Panels in Aqua slide open and closed with Rings on the Ornament Finial & Rod Set. No cords for baby to reach for and get caught up in.
The Oilo Studio Modern Berries Double Cylinder Light provides general lighting for the room and can be put on a dimmer switch. The Lucky Table Lamp Base with the Silk Lime Shade from Rosenberry placed on the end of the dresser next to the rocking chair provides task lighting if you are reading a bed time story to the baby.
