I offer this letter as an endorsement of Décor Revolution, Karen Steinberg’s interior design firm.  I had the pleasure to work with Karen on two projects, the first a remodeling of significant portions of my home in Altadena, California, and more recently, a total refurbishing of my daughter and son-in-law’s townhouse in Pasadena.   Karen did a remarkable job in both instances.  Blessed with an exceptionally perceptive eye for color, materials, and fabrics, Karen’s creations look like showcase homes.  The kitchen, guest rooms, and baths have been transformed thanks to her expertise.  The furnishings she chose are exquisite, beautifully matched with the room layout, each space carrying a grace and natural feel which my wife and I love.  Tireless and compliant with our requests for certain specific ideas, Karen was able to both honor her own critical acumen and please us as well.  Equally important, she is cost sensitive, blending the quest for great results with the realities of budgetary constraints.

I have worked with Karen on several projects, from small (new drapes) to medium (redecoration of our bedroom wing) to a full remodel of my kitchen. I have found her knowledgeable, easy to work with, and full of good ideas. She has never tried to impose her taste on mine when I had definite ideas, but has made good suggestions for realizing them. And when I've been clueless, her ideas have always been excellent. 

Her knowledge of resources is extensive. She went with me to suppliers to choose appliances, countertops, etc., and supplied samples of fabrics and other materials so I could see how they would look in my home. She is straightforward about what she will charge for and how much, and she follows through exactly according to her stated policies. 

I also found the contractor she recommended to be conscientious and easy to work with.
